Team GB are into the women's hockey semi-finals where they will face New Zealand, with the Netherlands playing Germany in the other bracket.Savannah Marshall fights Nouchka Fontijn in the women's boxing middleweight quarter-finals.
Going for gold
Host nation Brazil will be aiming to continue their traditional dominance in the women's beach volleyball, a sport that is defined by this year's location on the Copacabana. Brazil have appeared in seven of 10 Olympic finals since beach volleyball arrived on the scene and another gold could be one of the defining moments of Rio 2016 for the hosts.

Indonesia and Malaysia will contest the mixed doubles badminton final, while Japan and China are in the men's table tennis gold medal match. The men's 3000m steeplechase will also be decided.
